Hi! My name is Allie Rosemeyer and I am excited to be working as the Summer Camp Care Package Program Intern for ExpressionMed! I am a recent grad from Edgewood College with a double major in Child Life and Spanish and am excited to apply what I have learned to this position. I think I bring a unique dynamic to the team, having studied child development and ill-children thoroughly. I am aware of the needs of all children, but am extremely educated about the unique challenges that hospitalization, illness, and disability brings for both children and families. I spend my free time running, reading, doing sudoku, and playing volleyball. I am extremely social and enjoy meeting new people. I am excited to be part of such a fun, impactful organization.
Hi! I’m Meghan Sharkus and being the CEO of ExpressionMed continues to be the most challenging and rewarding experience of my life. Since starting this company in the summer of 2015 I have spent countless days in adhesive research centers, legal offices, and manufacturing facilities learning as much as I can about making the perfect tape for one of the most inspiring groups of people I know: the diabetes community.
While I have had many rough days, nothing makes me happier than brainstorming with my team, or seeing a designer’s work come to life. I think we all can agree that the highlight of our workweek is talking with moms on the ExpressionMed Ambassador Facebook page and seeing pictures and reviews from families whose routines have been changed by ExpressionMed’s product.
What a lot of people don’t know about me as an entrepreneur is: I love complaints. Because they mean there is something I can fix. If a tape doesn’t work for your skin, email me. Odds are I know what changes you can make in the application to make it work for you. If a tape is too small or too large, email me. I didn’t create this company to make something that I like, I made it for the moms who want to change their child’s device a little less often. For the kids who want cool artwork to show off to their friends. To the adult who has had diabetes for two decades and needs a tape that is reliable in quality and diverse in design.
I am so excited to be creating something that helps such a passionate and deserving community. You guys inspire me everyday to push through the difficult times and build the best product for wearable medical devices.
My name is Matthew Weis, and I am thrilled to be joining ExpressionMed as the Social Media and Branding Lead Intern! Currently, I am attending the University of Wisconsin - River Falls where I am majoring in Marketing Communications. I am so excited to apply what I have learned in my courses to the real world. I can’t wait to share information about ExpressionMed and my hope is that every kid will have the pride to show off their wearable device, and have the functionality that they deserve. I enjoy photography, and love taking pictures of people and trying to capture the moment. I pride myself on being a people person, who really enjoys building relationships with everyone I meet.
Hi! I'm Alexa Burmester and I am looking forward to working as the Communications Lead for ExpressionMed! I graduated from De Forest HighSchool. I begin classes this fall at University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, majoring in business management with the intent of then continuing on to law school. I spend my free time traveling, along with going to concerts and festivals. I believe communication is the basis for building strong relationships with those around you, so I am excited to have the opportunity to connect with so many empowering individuals within this community during my time with ExpressionMed. As someone who has been personally impacted by the negative effects of diabetes, it is an honor to be part of a company looking to bring forward positivity. Thank you all for continuing to inspire me and push me to help those around me to the best of my ability!

Hi my name is Meghan, the 19 year old founder that hopes to simplify diabetic care and add fun to daily routines.
ExpressionMed has already sent adhesives to over 200 people in 24 states and 4 different countries. Our tape has been called a "site savor" a "life changer" and a "huge help". Our tape stays on for weeks at a time without fraying or peeling. It is comfortable and soft so wearers almost don't notice it's there.
I have been hand making these tapes for months and because I was able to change the lives of hundreds of families with diabetes, I know I need to be able to make them faster and more efficiently. If we can get this Kickstarter funded by Saturday March 11th. I can start manufacturing now and get this product sent out to the families that order ASAP, and I will have time to create new shapes and design for new product like the enlite and omnipod.
How Do I buy?
Through this link you can either buy 1 box, 6 boxes, or 12 boxes. Each box has 5 tapes. At twelve boxes you can buy for as low as $9 per box. Families can get the tapes to stay for more than 2 weeks. This is like 10 weeks of coverage for only $1 and you can mix and match your designs when you choose multiple boxes. If you order 6 or 12 boxes. You will get a link to order hand made samples so you can try the tape before the final product shows up at your door at the end of the campaign :) Enjoy!
The campaign may end in April but the sooner you support, the sooner we can start manufacturing and the more design options you will have available to you. So support today!
How do I support?
Within the Kickstarter tiers you will find supporter tiers. This will let you donate to the cause and receive things like an Expression wristband, laptop sticker, camelback waterbottle and T-shirt in return. You can feel good about helping families with diabetes and have some cool swag to show off that you support new startups in the medical space!
This is a timely matter so support today and share the Kickstarter with your friends and family!
